McCain Wins Again :(

Well, after Fred dropped out last week I started thinking as long as McCain doesn’t win i’ll be happy.  Now with McCain being declared winner in Florida, the first winner take all State,  I am a little worried about this election.  As a true conservative I can not see myself voting for him and I surely can’t see myself voting for Obama, who I think will be the nominee on that side.  So who would that leave me voting for?  Who knows I won’t sit out a year because of my theory that if you don’t vote you don’t get to complain.  I guess time will tell,  at this point I’m still pulling for Romney as he is the most sane of the remaining.  McCain scares me as a conservative … Huckabee scares me as a person and as a Christian.  He is just plain outright nuts and not what we need at this point.  I guess we will see in the days to come as more than likely Giuliani will drop out, and word is will endorse McCain.  What has happened to the Republican party?  Wow this was a pretty non-sensible rant…

I’m in the same boat. McCain is a very worrisome candidate for us conservatives. I threw my vote in for Fred Thompson since he was the closest thing I could find to a true conservative without veering off into Ron Paul craziness land. But the old bastard bailed out on me and killed my absentee vote. If I had waited I could have at least changed it to Romney.

Like you, I think Romney is the best choice of those remaining. I wasn’t going to vote for Giuliani in the primaries since his views are almost as left wing as McCain. He has dropped out btw, as of earlier today. Huckabee, well, he’s a fraud. I don’t know about the crazy religious part, but his record in Arkansas makes Hillary look like a right winger.

So it’s another one of those hold your nose and pick one elections. In the end, regardless of who the Republicans nominate, he *HAS* to be better than either Obama or Clinton. Even if it’s just on continued support for the war in Iraq. So when the day comes, I’m voting Republican and then riding things out until 2012.
