AOL announces it will stop production and support for Netscape Navigator after February 1, 2008.  I can’t say that this move really surprises me Netscape has not had any significant market share since the late 90’s and has been over taken in the hearts of anti- Microsoft users with Mozilla Firefox.  In fact AOL’s last release of Netscape was nothing more than a skinned version of Firefox branded to look like the Netscape brand.  So farewell Netscape you were the first browser to graze my desktop and the legacy of Netscape still lives on in some way in Mozilla Firefox.
